However, you refer to it, it's twenty-two players running around a field trying to kick a ball between two goals. What's so great about that?

I grew up in Wales, Great Britain, and I was eight years old when I scored my first goal. The funny thing is I remember it like it was yesterday, and I would score a few more after that one.

It was the last game of the season, and I had played in every game that year, or at least the last 10 minutes of every game. It was different back then. U10 was the youngest age group. We played 11 v 11, 90-minute games on a full-sized pitch, and allowed heading. I learned early on playing time had to be earned and never expected, so with 10 minutes of my season remaining, I was determined to make them my best 10 minutes yet. With time ticking away, we won the ball back in the midfield, so I sprinted toward the other team's goal, and as I got closer, I noticed their goalkeeper running toward me. Before I knew it, the ball hit me on the head, went over the keeper, and into the back of the net YES!!!, my first goal, you could call it lucky, but I like to call it a perfectly timed run:) What I remember most is the feeling scoring that goal gave me and from that moment on, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I wanted to score goals, and I wanted to score as many of them as I could.

I scored some unbelievable goals and some lucky ones. Some goals I scored won games and others made it 12-0. I scored goals with my Dad as my coach, and I scored five goals against my Dads team when playing for a different coach (That's a story in and of itself), and as I continued to develop and work hard, I scored goals while wearing the colors of Cardiff City, Port Vale, Swansea City, and Newcastle UTD.

I started coaching when I finished playing at the top level, and it was unfortunate that it happened a lot sooner than I had hoped. However, it's what brought me to this country, and I have now been here for over 20 years and have loved every minute.

I have coached all over the USA and all ages and abilities. I have my UEFA C and USSF B licenses and have worked with many clubs, academies, and elite players.

I started OSC because I want to provide the kind of player development that is lacking within the club structure at any level. It's about working with the right players and not about the number of players.

I want to work with players who can already play but want to become even better.

I want to work with players that want to unlock their maximum potential and understand what it takes in order to achieve that.

I want to coach players and teams to play an attacking, fast-paced, and creative brand of soccer, that is both fun to play and entertaining to watch.

OSC will provide the right balance between fitness training, technical and tactical sessions.  Oh, and before I forget... we will also train and play to win!!

Soccer gave me a purpose, and it instilled values in me that have and will continue to serve me well in everything I do in life.

It took me from a quiet, shy kid and gave me confidence. I formed some of my most meaningful and long-lasting relationships within the soccer community and I continue to meet new and amazing people both on and off the field.

So what’s so great about 22 players running around a field trying to kick a ball between two goals? EVERYTHING!!!!
